Bury College Music students showcased the diverse range of skills they had developed during their studies with an exciting End of Year Gig.
Students formed a total of 12 bands and performed to their peers using their fantastic vocal and instrumental abilities. The End of Year Gig went towards their end of year assessment where they were marked in a range of areas including performance and crowd interaction.
18 year old Joseph Parkinson, who has recently completed the Bury College Level 3 Music Diploma, played the drums in the bans In Motion and performed heavy rock metal songs during a 20 minute set.
The former Turton School pupil, who has secured a place at the University of Leeds to study Music, said of the showcase event, “The End of Year Gig was really good and it was great fun to watch all the other bands perform. It was great to gain experience performing on a stage and to get comfortable with that environment.”
