Visitors were invited to Bury College to enjoy an ‘Evening in Tuscany’, cooked-up by a team of talented students.
The evening was the first themed ‘Travel Club’ event which was hosted by Travel and Tourism students and Pete Whitehead Travel Counsellor, Bury College’s on-site travel agent. The evening, which was held in the college’s Three Seasons restaurant, was all about the region of Tuscany and explored the different features of the beautiful region. Pete was also on hand to share some package holiday ideas.
The travel evening was accompanied with a delicious three course Tuscan meal cooked and served by Catering students. Guests were also treated to live entertainment provided by Performing Arts students who performed a set of Italian songs.
The aim of the Travel Club is to introduce the general public to different areas of the world and explore different cultures and tourist destinations.
Sarah Partington, Bury College Head of Curriculum for Travel and Tourism said of the event, “Tonight was a real showcase of how our Catering, Performing Arts and Travel students worked collaboratively together to produce a great evening of travel, food and entertainment for our customers. We were delighted to hear so much positive feedback from everyone who came and are looking forward to planning the next one.”
Tickets for the Travel Club are £12.95 and this includes exclusive travel information, a meal and live entertainment. For more information about the next themed evening please 0161 280 8624
