Bury College Art students bring colour to Rose Court Care Home
Our second-year Textiles and Fine Art pathway students recently visited Rose Court Care Home to run a series of arts and crafts workshops.
These courses prepare you for a wide range of careers in the ever-developing sports industry. Our Sport and Fitness courses provide a specialist work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the sport sector.
The main focus of the course is developing the practical and theoretical skills needed for employment in the diverse sports and fitness industry. This is supported by the embedded work experience aspects of the course.
The topics studied on this course are:
You will have the opportunity to be part of our Sports Academies. Players will receive two hours per week of expert coaching that will include:
• Technical and tactical practice
• Strength and conditioning
• Personalised workout programmes
• Competitive fixtures
• Performance analysis
All will be delivered by our fully qualified FA coaches.
During your time at Bury College there will also be the opportunity to join sports teams and get involved in a wide range of sport enrichment. These may include:
Badminton, Football, Nerf, Cricket, Table Tennis, Boxing, Gym, Volleyball and Running.
Assessments will be covered using a wide range of methods used to develop your theoretical knowledge and practical competencies, aligning with real life careers and supporting the development of the wider skills such as confidence, collaboration, resilience and commitment. Assessments will include a range of the following; written reports, practical assessments, professional discussions, presentations.
