BURY BUSINESS UNVEILS STUDENT ARTWORK
Talented Bury College Art and Design students have designed, mounted and unveiled a billboard for the Citizens Advice Bury District.
Bury College UAL Level 3 Art and Design students were challenged to create an eye-catching billboard to be displayed on St Johns House. During the official unveiling of the artwork, which was made up of bright colours and an abstract picture, the Trustee Chair Alison Close said a few words and cut the ribbon.
17-year-old Ryan Fleming, a former Bury Church of England High School, was one of the students to design the billboard. Ryan said, “It’s a really good feeling to walk past and see people admiring artwork I have created.”
Tanya Jamieson, Six Town Housing Co-ordinator and Chair of Business Development (Citizens Advice Bury District) said, “Throughout the whole process Bury College students were punctual, professional and came up with their own ideas. They took a fresh and young approach to the artwork which stands out and puts us on the map. This has been a really positive experience.”
