Bury College officially launches Hair and Beauty Centre with Plaque Unveiling event
The plaque was unveiled by Chris Trees, Chair of Governors at Bury College.
Open for students looking to start their careers or members of the public looking for hair and beauty treatments, our Hair and Beauty Centre is equipped to the highest standard. Our state-of-the-art salons are complete with hairdressing and barbering salons, beauty and nail clinics and a media make-up and special effects studio.
To celebrate the opening, we would like to invite you into College to see first-hand the new, vibrant space and state-of-the-art facilities now available to our students.

The Centre is home to a range of exciting courses, including vocational programmes and degree level courses leading to jobs training the next generation of salon managers. We also offer a range of courses for adults looking to upskill and enhance their current career prospects.
As a student, you will be able to work with and meet clients, gaining real-life experience that will look great on your CV.

The ground floor is home to a 12-bed Media Make-up and special effects studio, a commercial 24 station hair salon and a 24 station make-up studio.
The first floor comprises of a 12-bed nail clinic, two 12-bed beauty clinics and a 24-station hair salon.
On the third floor, you will benefit from two 24 station hair and barbering salons as well as both IT and general teaching space to support the specialist facilities.
Bury College is a growing campus, with several centres housing a range of specialist facilities preparing students for careers in many exciting industries. Our brand-new Hair and Beauty Centre is giving students access to everything they need to train for their career in the hair and beauty industry.
Funding for the new centre has been provided by the Department for Education, specifically the FE Capital Transformation Fund and T-Level Capital Fund.

Our second-year Textiles and Fine Art pathway students recently visited Rose Court Care Home to run a series of arts and crafts workshops.
