Uniform and equipment requirements?

To ensure a smooth start to your Plumbing programme we have arranged for you to be able to view and purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in practical lessons.

The PPE equipment is required for all students and will cost £30.00 and consist of the following:

  • Bury College Coverall
  • Safety glasses
  • Gloves

 

Steel Toe Cap Boots

Steel toe cap boots are a mandatory requirement for these courses. These are to be purchased independently - advice will be given at enrolment.

Other equipment needed

  • A4 Lined project notebook (Dividers in it)
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Pencil Sharpener
  • Ruler
  • Eraser
  • Coloured Pencils (Blue, red & yellow)

Stationery should be purchased independently.

 

Lockers

Lockers can be purchased at a cost of £10 which is returnable once they key to the locker is returned.

Financial Support

The college can provide financial assistance for purchasing uniform and/or equipment resources through the Financial Support Schemes (i.e. bursary) – Details of which will be provided and discussed at enrolment. Any further information required regarding financial support available, please enquire with Student Services https://burycollege.ac.uk/full-time/student-support. The student services team will also be available during enrolment.
