Vocational Introductory Day

We are delighted that you will be joining us at our Bury College Vocational and T Level Introductory Day on Tuesday 28^th June. Please see below some key information about the day:

During your 2.5-hour session you will have the opportunity to:

Try out your course before you start in September
Meet your supportive and experienced tutors
Make new friends from your course

Arrival Instructions

When you booked your place on the Introductory Day, you will have received a confirmation email detailing your course, the time that you are due to attend, and which building to report to, please if possible have this to hand on arrival.

You will be attending either the morning or afternoon session:

The morning introductory session (9:30am – 12:00pm).

Please ensure you have arrived ready for your session starting at 9.30am.

The afternoon session (1:30pm – 4.00pm)

Please ensure you have arrived ready for your session starting at 1.30pm.

On your booking confirmation you will have either been instructed to report to the Woodbury Centre or the Millennium Centre. Please see below a campus map and click here to view our virtual tour:

Sessions

Your session will be for 2.5 hours and you will have an opportunity for a comfort break. We have a number of catering facilities and social spaces on campus that will be available for you to use on your Introductory Day, these include:

A Level Centre Canteen – A Level Centre, Ground Floor
Bury College Bistro – Woodbury Centre (open till 3.00pm)
Millennium Centre Vista – Millennium Centre, Ground Floor
Beacon Starbucks – Beacon Centre

At our onsite catering facilities, you can pay with cash or on card (a minimum spend of £2.50 on card). You are also welcome to bring you own lunch as we have lots of social spaces on campus for you to use whilst you enjoy your lunch.

Additional Learning Support / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Should you have any SEND requirements please contact our Additional Learning Support Team on SEND@burycollege.ac.uk including your name, the event you have signed up for and your support requirements.

Health & Safety

There are no fire drills planned for the day. Therefore, if the alarm sounds please follow the directions of the Bury College member of staff to the nearest fire evacuation point.

Safeguarding

Please note, due to attendance at this event being voluntary, we will not be monitoring or reporting any absences throughout the day.
