Esports (Electronic Sports) is competitive multiplayer gaming played for spectators.
Esports teams typically compete in tournaments against amateur and professional opponents. Esports does include computer gaming, but it is so much more, and leads to many different positive futures.
Esports is a huge growth industry with future potential career pathways in engineering, entertainment, project management and broadcasting.
There are three dimensions of esports:

· Entrepreneurship & Business Management
· Health & Wellbeing
At Bury College, our one-year full-time course will immerse you in an exciting and fast emerging industry that develops transferable skills in Teamwork, Business, Leadership, Marketing and Entrepreneurship and support progression to Level 3
You will be studying your esports course in the very best of environments with outstanding resources. Bury College has invested in state-of-the-art facilities to meet industry specifications of gaming and broadcasting.
You will train for mental agility, critical thinking, concentration, decision making, reaction times and dexterity. All the time underpinned by teamwork, friendship, an enjoyment of esports and the potential it holds. All essential skills to prepare any esporter for a career globally.

Learners taking this qualification may also want to progress to further study such as BTEC Level 3 Nationals in esports, Information Technology, Creative Media, Sport, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship or Business.
Successful completion of this qualification could also lead to being fully prepared to progress to an apprenticeship in the related sector, for example, in events, digital marketing or creative media for example
