Being a Governor can be a rewarding experience that provides you with the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of young people and learners of all ages in the communities served by Bury College. As a member of the College Corporation Board you will play an important role in complementing the existing leadership at the college and offering your own unique perspective on a range of topics.
As a member of the Bury College Corporation Board you will have the opportunity to advise and assist with the Colleges’ strategic direction and plans. The Corporation Board meets, on average, five times a year and each member also serves on one or more of the Corporation’s Committees subject to their availability and field of expertise. The Committees to which members are normally appointed are Resources, Curriculum and Quality and Audit.
