Bury College is working with forward-thinking employers who are providing apprenticeships and industry placement opportunities for our learners. We want to encourage as many employers as possible to join the College and help offer students a career enhancing apprenticeship or industry placement.
If you have an interest in supporting the College by providing an apprenticeship opportunity or industry placement then please pledge your support by completing our employer pledge form.

Dylan Frasier-Kelly from Jackson Lee Accountants spoke about the benefits of hiring an apprentice. He said: “I would recommend it to anyone. Employing an apprentice is great for your business. In terms of advice, I would try and relate some of the training in the workplace to what the learner will be undertaking in his assessments.”
Pamela Houghton, Manager at High Meadows Day Nursery, was praised for her work with Bury College apprentices and in February received a Bury College Employer Star Award. She added: “It has allowed us to upskill some of our existing staff members as they have taken on additional responsibilities as mentors and coaches. The apprentices themselves have also brought a lot to the Nursery and they are constantly researching new ideas.”
