Applying for Bursary and Free Meals in College
Before you Apply - Please read carefully the conditions for the bursary which applies to you / your circumstances in the links below:
Support can be used to supplement the costs of attending college, eg transport, college equipment, meals in college, books, trips, specialised kits and other course related costs.
There is also a limited amount of funding to support students aged 20+ with childcare costs.
Need proof that you are a student?
You may be asked to provide proof from the college that you are a student e.g. for benefits purposes, council tax exemption, or to open a bank account. If this is the case, please email letterrequests@burycollege.ac.uk and include the following information in your email:
- Full name and date of birth
- Student ID number
- The information you require and who the letter is to be written to
- If applying for a bank account, the name of the bank the letter is for, e.g. Halifax, Lloyds
Your letter will then be sent to you via email. Please note that we cannot issue letters until you have actually enrolled and attended college in the relevant academic year.
