This is a Level 1 qualification that provides you with the necessary skills to pursue a career in Painting and Decorating. During this evening course, you will start to complete basic practical tasks to help build your confidence and develop key skills.

This course is the first step towards becoming a successful Painter and Decorator.
This course could lead to employment in the painting and decorating sector, or construction industry in general. This course could also lead to an apprenticeship.
After successfully passing the Level 1 Diploma in Painting and Decorating, you may wish to progress to the level 2 Diploma in Painting and decorating. This course is also a year’s duration.
You will be expected to purchase white overalls and boots for working in the practical areas. All tools are provided for use by the college.
If you are a school leaver, aged 16-18, (under the age of 19 on or before 31st August 2022), you do not pay tuition fees or examination and registration fees.
