Well done on achieving the results you need for the course you currently hold an offer for.

To begin the enrolment process, you need to have completed Step One of the enrolment process on the Student Portal. Once you have completed Step One, you will receive an email confirming the date and time of your enrolment appointment.

On GCSE Results Day, Thursday 20th August, you will need to complete Step Two by uploading your results to the Student Enrolment Portal before attending your enrolment appointment.

I didn’t get the results I needed. What should I do next?

Don’t worry if your results haven’t worked out how you’d hoped; there are still plenty of ways you can study with us at Bury College.

To receive an enrolment appointment where we can discuss the options available to you, you first need to complete Step One of the enrolment process. Once you have completed Step One, you will receive an email confirming the date and time of your enrolment appointment.

On GCSE Results Day, Thursday 20th August, you will need to complete Step Two by uploading your results to the Student Enrolment Portal before attending your appointment.

Vocational Courses

Our vocational courses offer multiple levels within each curriculum area. If you still wish to study in the same subject area, you don't need to do anything other than complete your enrolment details and upload your results.

Your options can then be discussed as part of the enrolment process.

If you have decided you would like to change to a different course area, please contact the Course Query Team on 0161 280 8300. They will arrange a further appointment with the relevant curriculum team.

Please note that this appointment may not take place until after Monday 24th August.

If you have not achieved the entry requirements to study A Levels, there may be a vocational or T Level course that is a suitable alternative for you.

I’ve not received my enrolment information

Firstly, please check that you have completed Step One of the enrolment process on the Student Enrolment Portal.

If Step One has not been completed, you should do this as soon as possible. You will also need to complete Step Two by uploading your grades.

Once you have completed both steps, you will receive an email confirming the date and time of your enrolment appointment.

If you and your parent/carer have not received an email confirming your appointment time, please contact the Admissions Team on 0161 280 8200.

 

I need help completing the online enrolment process

Alternatively, you can attend one of our Enrolment Support drop-in sessions at College. No appointment is required.

Enrolment support is available at: Bury College, University Centre, Market Street, Bury, BL9 0BG.

If you need support with your enrolment, you can come into College and speak to a member of staff face-to-face. No appointment is required.

  • Monday 24th August: 10.00am - 6.30pm

Once you have been made an offer to study with us, you will need to enrol.

Enrolment is where you confirm and finalise your place as a student at the College.

If you are already holding an offer, you will receive an email confirming the date and time of your enrolment appointment once you have completed the required enrolment steps.

Enrolment Support drop-in sessions are also available at College for anyone who needs face-to-face support with the enrolment process.

These sessions will take place on:

  • Thursday 20th August: 10.00am - 6.30pm
  • Friday 21st August: 10.00am - 4.30pm
  • Monday 24th August: 10.00am - 6.30pm
  • Tuesday 25th August: 10.00am - 4.30pm
  • Wednesday 26th August: 10.00am - 4.30pm

Once you have completed Step One of the enrolment process, you will receive an email confirming the date and time of your enrolment appointment.

If you are unable to attend your enrolment appointment, please contact the Admissions Team on 0161 280 8200 as soon as possible to rearrange your appointment.

Please ensure you complete Step Two and upload your GCSE results to the Student Portal on 20th August, even if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment.

If something unexpected prevents you from attending on the day, please contact the Admissions Team as soon as possible to rearrange your appointment. Your place may be at risk if you do not attend your enrolment appointment.

The enrolment process involves completing the required enrolment details and attending an appointment at College to finalise your place.

You may have a discussion with a tutor from the course area you have applied to. This is to ensure that the course is still suitable for your career aims and the results you have achieved.

If you are an applicant, please bring the following with you when you come in to enrol:

  • proof of ID
  • proof of exam results including English and Maths
  • student support evidence (such as proof of benefits)
  • method of payment (where appropriate)

Don’t worry. There may still be options available to you at Bury College.
