Are there any costs or requirements?
Welcome to year 2 of the Sports course at Bury College. As part of our continued commitment to preparing learners for employment in Sport, it is compulsory for all students to wear the official Sport uniform during all practical sessions. This is really important for health and safety and also forms a key component of our Be Ready to Learn policy and supports the development of essential skills such as compliance, discipline, and professionalism.
Students are responsible for ensuring they have sufficient uniform items to wear during all practical lessons in college, including spares, while others are being laundered.
Lockers
Lockers can be purchased at a cost of £10 which is returnable.
How to purchase – Uniform & Equipment
Students will already have uniform from last year but additional or replacement uniform items can be purchased from the ADM Direct Bury College shop - Sport - ADM direct. The items that are available are below:
- X1 Black Hoodie
- X2 T-Shirt
- X1 Training Pants/Leggings
- X2 Shorts
During the 2nd year induction, sample items will be available for learners to try on to ensure correct sizing prior to purchase. Please note that all items bought through ADM are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
Financial Support
The college can provide financial assistance for purchasing uniform and/or equipment resources through the Financial Support Schemes (i.e. bursary) – Details of which will be provided and discussed at enrolment. Any further information required regarding financial support available can be found on our Student Support page. The student services team will also be available during enrolment.
