There are two variations of this course, you can choose between either:
Customer Service
This course will help you to gain practical skills, knowledge and understanding in the customer service and volunteering sector. We will help you to prepare for working life after college and will support development of your English speaking, reading and writing skills.
You will learn how to provide good customer service and how this is important to customers and the organisation. You will look at what might happen if you give poor service.
You will learn about the role of the volunteer and there will be time to improve your IT skills when you look for work and places to do volunteering work. This practice will help you improve your skills and will support employment and progression within the college.
Hospitality & Retail
This course will help you learn skills, knowledge and understanding in hospitality and shop work. It will help you prepare for working life after college and will support development of your English speaking, reading, and writing skills
You will look at different roles that you can apply for and you will be supported to learn more about how to provide good customer care in these areas.
You will have the opportunity to show your customer service skills in a safe environment in college.
You will also be shown basic food hygiene and how food safety measures are put in place in the hospitality sector and shops.

Some courses are free for eligible learners, this is shown in the course details. You may be eligible for a free course if you are:
Many of our adult learners pay for their Level 3 and above courses with an Advanced Learner Loan. If a loan is available this is indicated in the course details. It’s easy to apply, your household income isn’t taken into account and there are no credit checks. You only need to start paying back your Advanced Learner Loan when you are earning more than £25,000 per year.

Bury College's annual Art and Design Exhibition celebrated the creativity, talent and achievements of students across a range of creative disciplines. Showcasing work in photography, graphic design, games art and mixed media, the exhibition highlighted how students are using creativity to explore contemporary issues, develop professional skills and prepare for exciting futures in the creative industries.
Health and Social Care staff from Bury College travelled to Milan, Italy, to attend the Anatomage Conference, gaining valuable insights into the latest developments in anatomy education and healthcare technology.
