This qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to successfully lead a team. 

It will cover different techniques for dealing with teams, organisational change, motivation, business planning and verbal and written communication in the workplace. It will also cover customer service, the different types of customers, their value to an organisation and the importance of customer loyalty. It will look at how organisations resolve customer service problems and make use of feedback.

You will also explore team work and the roles within teams and resolving team conflicts.

You will also learn about coaching models and the role learning styles play in the process and the importance of setting goals and targets and providing constructive feedback.

You will be introduced to mentoring and explore the benefits of mentoring and the skills a mentor should have.

  • Understand Business
  • Understand how to communicate work-related information
  • Understand Customers
  • Understand How to Deliver Customer Service and Resolve Problems  
  • Understand How to Develop Working Relationships with Colleagues
  • Introduction to Coaching
  • Introduction to Mentoring            

Using online eAssessor platform.

Team-leading skills can be useful in retail, healthcare, education, hospitality, public services, administration, engineering, logistics and customer service, among others.

You can use this qualification to progress through a management route.

Some courses are free for eligible learners, this is shown in the course details. You may be eligible for a free course if you are:

  • Unemployed and in receipt of an income-based benefit (for example JSA, ESA or Universal Credit)
  • Employed and earning less than the low-income threshold
  • Studying for your first full Level 2 qualification on an eligible legal entitlement course
  • Aged 19-23 and studying for your first full Level 3 qualification or on an eligible legal entitlement course
  • Your eligibility for a free course will be assessed and confirmed at enrolment.

ADVANCED LEARNER LOAN

Many of our adult learners pay for their Level 3 and above courses with an Advanced Learner Loan. If a loan is available this is indicated in the course details. It’s easy to apply, your household income isn’t taken into account and there are no credit checks. You only need to start paying back your Advanced Learner Loan when you are earning more than £25,000 per year.
