Vocational Performing and Production Arts Level 3, is an exciting, practical exploration of Performing Arts. You will explore and develop your skills and experience of a range of performance disciplines, including Musical Theatre, Acting and Dance. Working collaboratively and individually, our course is designed around numerous performance opportunities that build your understanding of rehearsal and performance processes. In addition to performance,  there are options to explore and develop skills in technical theatre and production  such as lighting, sound, stage management and backstage/front of house. Delivered by industry professionals, supported by workshops from current West End and industry practitioners and incorporating a range of trips and visits, this course is a dynamic preparation for a career in the creative industries.

You will also develop skills in acting, dance, and musical theatre.

These courses have a range of practical performance and coursework projects. These are followed by a practical final major project that will gain you a Pass, Merit or Distinction.

Learners will be aware at what level they are working towards throughout the course. They are assessed through both their practical and coursework skills.

You may choose to progress onto further study at HE or Vocational Schools.

Costs may incur for external trips and visits and department uniform. Specialist dance shoes are used for various dance classes and costume will be required to be purchased for productions.

You will also engage in the Positive Futures Careers Programme, developing key employability skills through a diverse range of activities including work placements, volunteering, employer talks, industry study visits and employment and university fairs.

For Level 3 Performing Arts: 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (including English Language) OR GCSE 9-4 in English Language and a Merit on the L2 Diploma in Performing and Production Course. A degree of performance ability demonstrated in an audition.
