Bury College Art students bring colour to Rose Court Care Home
Our second-year Textiles and Fine Art pathway students recently visited Rose Court Care Home to run a series of arts and crafts workshops.
Bury College students are entitled to an Our Pass card, giving young people the freedom to travel across Greater Manchester free of charge, at any time. This free bus travel card is available to all 16-18 year olds who live within Greater Manchester. This pass can be used to travel to and from Bury College at any time. Bury College campus is conveniently located within walking distance of the Metrolink and the bus station meaning the excellent transport links are only minutes away from the college.
The college is providing a free return coach service for students from September 2023 to June 2024. This service helps to support learners who do not live in the Greater Manchester area and therefore do not qualify for the Our Pass card.
The free return coach service operates in the following areas:
This service is running from September 2023 to June 2024 only and entry onto the coach requires a valid Bury College ID badge which is provided during enrolment. The coaches drop off students outside the Millennium Centre campus and run throughout the academic year.
Students who are not eligible for the Our Pass can also apply for financial support to help them with their travel expenses. For more information please contact Bury College and ask for Student Services who can help you on 0161 280 8421. Please note – the routes are correct at the time of printing (January 2024), however they are subject to change throughout the year.
Places on the coaches are limited and you are advised to consider alternative public transport routes if the coach is full. A valid Bury College student ID must be shown. All lost property found on the vehicle will be kept for a period of 30 days (perishables will not be kept longer than 24hrs) after which it will be disposed of or destroyed as seen fit (subject to PSV lost property regulations). There may be a charge for the return of lost property.
All vehicles are NO SMOKING (this includes E-Cigarettes) and ALCOHOL may not be carried or consumed. The driver reserves the right to remove or bar any passengers that are unruly or who may pose a danger to other passengers, staff or the safe operation of the vehicle and its equipment. Vehicles may be fitted with CCTV for safety and security reasons.
Coaches will only stop at a designated bus stop along all routes.
Please note - some details of the routes and times may be liable to change should circumstances require such amendments.
