To ensure that you get the most out of your visit to Bury College, we have put together some useful information.

 

Before your visit

  • Please make sure you plan your journey. Parking information is available below.
  • Read our Event Guide so that you know exactly which locations you need to visit. Our friendly team will help you find the right locations for your course.

 

When you arrive

  • Give your full name to a member of our team and they will check you in.
  • Check in desks are located at the Woodbury, Millennium and Health and Digital Centre entrances. To help plan your event experience please read our Event Guide and check in near the subject areas you would like to visit.

 

Subject Area Locations

This is an overview of where the key subject areas will be located on the day:

Woodbury:

  • All A Levels, excluding: Computer Science/Information Technology*, Drama and Theatre Studies, Engineering*, and Physical Education
  • T Levels in: Accounting, Childcare, Media, and Science.
  • Vocational Courses in: Art and Design, Catering, Childcare, Media, and Science.

Millennium:

  • A Levels in: Drama and Theatre Studies, Engineering*, and Physical Education
  • T Levels in: Management & Administration and Engineering
  • All Apprenticeships, excluding Dental Nursing
  • Vocational Courses in: Building Services, Business, Construction Trades, Engineering, Hair and Beauty, Performing Arts, Public Services, Sport, Travel and Tourism, and Foundation Studies.

Health and Digital Centre:

  • A Level Computer Science
  • T Levels in: Digital Production, Digital Support Services, and Health
  • Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing
  • Vocational Courses in: Computing & Digital and Health and Social Care

University Centre:

  • All Adult and University Courses

Parking information

Please note that there is no parking available on campus for visitors. We would advise that you park in one of the below places and walk a short distance to the college if you are able.

Local car parks include:

  • Trinity Street Car Park
  • Market Street Car Park
  • Millgate Shopping Centre
  • The Rock Shopping Centre
  • Bolton Street Station Car Park
  • Angouleme Retail Park Car Park
  • Castle Leisure Centre Car Park

 

Public transport

We are located close to Bury Interchange so if you are travelling by bus or tram we are just a short walk away.

If you have any questions in advance of the event please email ask@burycollege.ac.uk and our friendly team will respond as soon as possible.

 

Road Closures

The eastbound carriageway, from Murray Road to Spring Street, will be closed from 7pm onwards on the night of our Open Event.

Diversion routes will be clearly signed. Alternative routes include:

  • Angouleme Way (westbound) Jubilee Way, Peel Way, Derby Way and Rochdale Road
  • Market Street, Wellington Road, Parkhills Road, Heywood Street and Rochdale Road
  • Market Street, Parkhills Road and Manchester Road

Please be aware that this may cause some traffic/disruption on the roads closer to the College at the end of the event.
