If you have a talent for maths and enjoy solving challenging problems then this is the course for you.  Mathematics is an excellent qualification to have for a wide range of higher education courses and careers.

You will have the opportunity to take part in competitions such as the BEBRAS Challenge and the UKMT individual and team challenges. Our most accomplished students can take part in the Senior Kangaroo Challenge.

Assessment is 100% exam based.

Mathematics is an excellent qualification to have for a wide variety of higher education courses and careers. It is vital if you wish to study Mathematics or Engineering at university and is advisable for Economics, Business, Banking, Accountancy, Design, Engineering, Statistics, Computing, IT and Sciences. If you study mathematics your skills will also be welcomed for:

  • Dentistry
  • Veterinary Science
  • Teaching
  • Technology
  • Architecture

A Casio fx-991EX CLASSWIZ calculator will be required.

For A-level programmes: 6 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (to include 3 GCSEs at grade 9-4 and 3 GCSEs at grade 9-5). Require grade 9-4 in English Language and Maths.
For A-level Mathematics: Grade 9-6 Maths
