The 26-year-old, who lives in Manchester, believes her passion, ambition and sheer hard work has led her to the position she has always aspired to have.
Talented Emmanuelle left Bury College in 2013 after achieving A grades in Drama and Theatre Studies and French and a B grade in English Language and Literature. From there, Emmanuelle progressed onto the University of Leeds to study Broadcast Journalism and graduated with a 2:1 BA Honours Degree, before completing a Masters in International Journalism at City, University of London in 2017.
During her time at University, Emmanuelle completed a wide range of work experience placements which gave her a unique insight into the industry. These industry placements included undertaking researcher positions on BBC’s hit show Rip Off Britain, radio station Key 103 and factual production company Blakeway North.
Once she had completed her university studies, Emmanuelle established a career in London with the BBC. Emmanuelle decided to move closer to home and is now based at Media City working for North West Tonight.
Emmanuelle said, “I am really enjoying working as a BBC journalist and weather presenter, both roles are different but I enjoy both as I am developing new skills, gaining experience and growing as an individual. I loved my time at Bury College, that’s where I got my first taste of independence and I was well prepared for university. I am so proud of what I have achieved, I am doing things I would have never thought possible. My future career goal is to progress into new reading or presenting.”
