Construction is well underway for a brand-new centre to further expand the offer of Health, Innovation and digital technologies at Bury College.
The exciting £9+ million development consists of a variety of innovative teaching and learning spaces for the delivery of Health, Social Care and Computing and Information Technology related courses, including Health and Digital T Levels and Esports.
The steel frame is now fully in place. The next steps will involve adding cladding and windows to the structure, before starting on the internal work, with expected completion in Autumn 2022.
The new centre is a welcomed addition to Bury College. As digital technology proves to increase in popularity and the demand for healthcare rises, this new centre will offer young people the opportunity to train in a range of areas and prepare them for industry in employment sectors of key importance to Bury and Greater Manchester economies.

Using these facilities, learning will be hands-on and industry-led, allowing you to gain the qualifications needed to springboard you into your career. The centre will play a major part in training the professionals of the future, and will provide an opportunity for you to enter into a number of dynamic sectors.
There will be a range of exciting courses available, from advanced to degree level, including those leading to jobs in Health and Nursing and Computing and Digital roles. This will include new Health and Digital T Levels, technical qualifications that offer classroom, practical and industry experience.
