A Bury College Apprentice Dental Nurse has shown exceptional determination during a challenging year as she continues to work and provide exceptional care to patients.
During these unprecedented times, Rebecca Collinge has remained committed to her apprenticeship and has continued to work at Harpers Dental Practice based in Bolton. Rebecca has been fulfilling her role as a Dental Nurse and has been working chairside with the Dentist in the surgery and performing various check-ups on patients. The 23-year-old has also been responsible for managing the surgery reception, advising patients and organising appointment bookings.
Rebecca is currently completing her Level 3 Dental Nursing apprenticeship after successfully achieving her Level 2 qualification. The former Harper Green School pupil said, “I am really enjoying my apprenticeship, I have gained so much confidence and I have further developed my knowledge of the industry. My colleagues have been so supportive and they have all took the time to help me grow as an individual.”
Claire Gentry, Head Dental Nurse at the Practice added, “We have been so impressed with Rebecca and the wide range of new skills that she has picked up so quickly. Employing apprentices is a great way to bring enthusiastic individuals into the business who have a willingness to learn. They can also be trained to meet the needs of the business. Bury College have been great to work with and we look forward to hiring more apprentices in the future.”
