If you are joining us as a childcare student you will need to complete a DBS check prior to starting your course. Please see below guidance regarding this.
You will have received a DBS link to the personal email address you provided to college on your application form, this e-mail provides you with a username and password to log on.
Please complete this prior to enrolment where possible. It will ask you for your personal details, name, address history, DOB etc.
Important – Your DBS is an important document, just like a passport, if you lose it you will have to pay the cost of a replacement DBS which is £38:00. Please keep it safe.
It is optional for students to purchase this uniform, however, some placements do request that you wear the uniform. Polo shirts and hoodies can be purchased from the Bury College Online Store; https://store.burycollege.ac.uk/product-catalogue/child-care-uniform.
In certain circumstances and if you are eligible for a bursary the college can provide financial assistance for purchasing uniform, books and educational trips and visits through the Financial Support Schemes – details of which are included in the enrolment pack. If you have any further questions regarding the financial support available, please enquire with Student Services at enrolment.
