If you are joining us as a childcare student you will need to complete a DBS check prior to starting your course. Please see below guidance regarding this.
You will have received a DBS link to the personal email address you provided to college on your application form, this e-mail provides you with a username and password to log on. Please complete this prior to enrolment where possible. It will ask you for your personal details, name, address history, DOB etc.
Important – Your DBS is an important document, just like a passport, if you lose it you will have to pay the cost of a replacement DBS which is £46.40 Please keep it safe.

It is optional for students to purchase this uniform, however, some placements do request that you wear the uniform. Polo shirts and hoodies can be purchased from the Bury College Online Store; https://store.burycollege.ac.uk/product-catalogue/child-care-uniform.
In certain circumstances and if you are eligible for a bursary the college can provide financial assistance for purchasing uniform, books and educational trips and visits through the Financial Support Schemes – details of which are included in the enrolment pack. If you have any further questions regarding the financial support available, please enquire with Student Services at enrolment.

Bury College recently hosted a Higher Education Fair for its current learners, welcoming representatives from over 20 different universities.
T Level student Cameron Taylor turned his placement at Bury BID into a paid summer role, gaining hands-on experience in events and marketing.
Two dedicated apprentices working in a local nursery are proving that it’s never too late to upskill, thanks to the Early Years Level 5 Apprenticeship offered at Bury College.
Our art students have brought a splash of colour and creativity to Bury Hospice with a striking new mural celebrating the spirit of the local community. Painted by students from the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, the mural features vibrant hydrangeas and iconic Manchester Bees, symbolising unity, resilience, and the six towns of Bury.
