About the vacancy
Prestolee Multi Academy Trust are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant Level 3 apprentice to join the team at Stoneclough, Radcliffe. The ideal candidate would need to have a strong ambition to work in education in the responsible role of Teaching Assistant.
General Requirements

Support for the Pupil
Support pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs, to access the curriculum in line with appropriate lesson plan/teacher direction
Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model
Be aware of and respond appropriately to individual pupil needs
Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
Encourage pupils to act independently as appropriate
Promote self esteem and independence
Respond to pupils minor medical problems
Deal with the personal care and comfort of pupils as required
Undertake delivery of intervention programmes linked to local and national learning strategies, recording achievement and progress, and feeding back to the teacher
Support the use of ICT in learning activities and develop pupils’ competence and independence in its use
Support for the teacher
Provide minimal clerical/administration support e.g. photocopying
Assist with the display of children's work
Prepare classroom as directed for lessons and clear afterwards
Report pupil achievements, progress and issues as appropriate in agreed format
Undertake pupil record keeping as requested
Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policy and ensure reports are made in agreed school format
Gather/report basic information from/to parents/carers as directed
To escort pupils as necessary and assist in movement around the school
Accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out-of-school activities as required and take responsibility for a group under the supervision of a teacher
Establish constructive relationships with parents/carers
Supervise children outside of lessons e.g. at play time and lunch time
Support for the curriculum
Support pupils to access the curriculum in line with appropriate lesson plan/teacher direction
Prepare and maintain equipment/resources as directed
Assist pupils in the use of appropriate resources in accordance with the lesson plan
You will receive the following training:
Teaching Assistant L3 Standard.
College attendance is not currently required.

Outcome
You must be available for a discussion at Bury College on 2nd December and also be available on the 9th December if selected for an interview.
On completion of the apprenticeship, you will be qualified as a Teaching Assistant Level 3 may be offered a full-time position as at a school within the Multi Academy Trust.
The starting salary is £11,778 a year for 30 hours Monday to Friday - 6 hours a day 10:30am – 5pm with 30 minutes lunch. 10:30am – 3pm in school, 3pm – 5pm in after school club (Term Time)..
The apprenticeship will run for 1 Year 6 Months.
