You will learn how to help registered practitioners to deliver healthcare services to adult patients in a variety of settings. Accordingly, you will become proficient at carrying out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks that are required in a healthcare setting. Training will equip you to follow standards, policies and protocols in order to provide high quality, compassionate healthcare to the best of your ability.

As a Healthcare Practitioner it is essential to treat people with dignity, to respect an individual's diversity, beliefs, culture, needs, values, privacy and preferences, and to show respect for those you work with but have the courage to challenge any areas of concern.

You will develop your knowledge and understanding in all the following areas:

  • Health, safety and environmental
    regulations in the health and
    science sector
  • Managing information and data within
    the health and science sector
  • Good scientific and clinical practice
  • Core science concepts
  • The healthcare sector
  • Providing person centred care

You will also study:

  • Assist the adult nursing team with clinical tasks
  • Support individuals to meet activities of daily living
  • Assist with skin integrity assessments and with the care and treatment of skin conditions

For T Level Health: 5 or more GCSEs at grade 9-4 (including Maths & English Language and Combined Science or two seperate Sciences)
