The International Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management degree will help you to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to secure higher level roles within the tourism industry.

The course has been designed to look at the modern challenges faced by tourism, hospitality and events organisations and explores these ever-changing industries. The range of topics you will study have been updated to ensure that they are in-line with current climate and will focus on the future of these industries.

You will cover the following topics:

·         Event Management

·         Strategic Business Management for Tourism, Hospitality and Events

·         Tomorrows Tourist: Future Trends

·         Major Project

Assessment is via examinations and coursework, including essays, reports and presentations.

Tourism, Hospitality and Events are some of the world’s biggest industries and offer a wide range of career opportunities. Upon completion of the qualification, you could progress onto a range of roles within tourism, hospitality, or events management industries.

During the course you will receive professional training from lecturers who have a wealth of industry experience. You will also benefit from employer links with local and national organisations.

This course will provide you with a range of skills and knowledge to enable you to progress into a variety of employment opportunities within the international tourism, hospitality, and events industry or onto further study at postgraduate level.

Career opportunities within these industries remains diverse and open doors to employment within a range of areas.

You will also engage in the Positive Futures Careers Programme, developing key employability skills through a diverse range of activities including work placements, volunteering, employer talks, industry study visits and employment and university fairs.

Successful completion of the FdSc International Tourism Management. You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work. Mature student evaluation, whose previous work experience includes a period of working in the Travel and Tourism or associated industries, may include and/or diagnostic essay. 5 GCSEs including English GCSE at grade 9-4 (A*-C). If English is a second language, you will need to complete a Secure English Language Test at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. We may consider applications with Level 4 and 5 (years 1 and 2) on a similar degree. These would have to be considered on an individual basis.

The majority of students will be able to access a Tuition Fee Loan from Student Finance England to pay their HE Course Fee.

Self-funding students may pay in 3 instalments in September (25%), January (25%) and April (50%).

Course Fee: £8,250.00 per year
