Staff and students at Bury College are celebrating after once again being recognised as a Good college following a recent Ofsted inspection.
The Ofsted report highlights the positive practices which are taking place across the College and recognises that ‘learners behave very well in college and at work’ and are commended that ‘Bury College has a supportive and inclusive environment.’

The report confirms the good quality of teaching, learning and assessment and praises leaders for establishing appropriate links with a range of stakeholders enabling them to ‘effectively use information about local and regional skills needs and plan courses to meet these needs’.

Bury College hosted the GM Skills Construction Competition on Friday 13th March 2026, with students from nine colleges competing across Plastering, Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical Installation, Painting and Decorating, and Plumbing, showcasing top skills and earning multiple wins.
