Drama students impressed a crowd of visitors during a busy event which helped to raise the profile of a growing Bury digital marketing agency.
Bury College A-level Drama students donned their cops and robbers costumes to cause a scene and draw attention to marketing agency - Seek Social. From social media marketing to web design and development, this innovative digital agency offered students a work experience opportunity which promised to put their acting skills to the ultimate test.
Four talented students were set the task to draw attention to Seek Social and raise awareness of the company by taking on the role of robbers and causing disruption at a busy event held at The Stables in Bury. Recognised as a disruptive marketing exercise, this type of marketing promises to raise the profile of a business and grab the attention of customers.
Former Haslingden High School pupil Lucy Jolly who is studying A-level Drama, English Language and History said, “This was a great work experience opportunity and I really enjoyed taking part. It was exciting to take on the role of a character and cause a scene at such a busy event. Seek Social were really impressed with our efforts and I think the disruptive marketing worked well because we definitely grabbed the attention of those attending the event!”

Bury College welcomed learners from 12 Greater Manchester colleges for the GM Skills Foundation Studies Competition, where students showcased creative heritage-inspired projects and took part in a collaborative team challenge. The event celebrated student creativity, confidence, and community.
Bury College hosted the GM Skills Construction Competition on Friday 13th March 2026, with students from nine colleges competing across Plastering, Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical Installation, Painting and Decorating, and Plumbing, showcasing top skills and earning multiple wins.
