Our recent Graduation Ceremony has allowed us to celebrate the collective success of our University Centre students, but has also allowed us to showcase some individual success stories.

Halima Abbas first joined us as a Level 1 Travel and Tourism student and has shown amazing resilience and determination to achieve fantastic grades, while progressing through Levels 1, 2 and 3 before completing her BSc (Hons) in International Tourism Management.

In the video below, Halima explains how Bury College University Centre helped prepare her for employment and the start of her career.

Debbie Matthews, Assistant Curriculum Manager for Travel and Tourism at Bury College, said: “We are really proud of Halima! Having joined the department on Level 1, Halima has maintained her positive and determined approach to her studies, having completed Levels 1, 2 and 3 before successfully achieving her Degree. She is an amazing role model to those just starting their studies and we wish her every success in her future career in the industry.”
