The athletes of the future are achieving success both in the sporting arena and in the classroom as they prepare for their careers to take off.
The Bury College Sports department prides itself on providing students with the skills, knowledge and experience they need to achieve their dream career goals. Through the support of their tutors and from the shear passion of individuals, Bury College is extremely proud of the students who excel within their chosen sports each year.
Nikita Narnor is an England Women’s Netballer and takes on the positions of Wing and Goal Defence. The former Parrenthorn High School pupil currently plays for Manchester Thunder and Leeds Rhinos and regularly competes in a range of high-profile competitions.
The Level 3 Sport student said, “I am really enjoying my time at Bury College and I receive great support from my tutors. It is great that I can manage my training around my studies and secure a recognised qualification.”
Holly Murray has trained extremely hard as a runner and has competed in many national competitions. Holly, who is studying Level 3 Sport, recently competed in the England Championship where she placed third against 45 competitors in the 200 meters race.
The former Wardle Academy pupil said, “The tutors are Bury College are so welcoming and have supported me with my athletics commitments. The College has also helped to put me forward for sponsorships to support me during my time here.”
