Our Performing Arts students put on a show-stopping 22 showings of their annual panto. Children from local schools and families were thoroughly entertained as Pinocchio went on a wild and wonderful adventure, escaping the evil ringmaster with the help of Jiminy Cricket, our Fairy, and the hilarious Dame.
Our students put on quite the performance, drumming up these comments from some of the schools in attendance:
“Thank you to the fabulous students @Bury_College who put on a superb panto performance for Y5 this afternoon.” – Unsworth Primary, via x.com
“We had a fantastic time at the panto this morning at Bury College.” – Elton 1E Mrs Wright, via x.com
"Our children had an amazing time and loved every minute. Your students are great with our children, and it’s fantastic that you greet and escort us to and from our coaches. Great value for money, and they are already asking if we will be going again!" – St. Margaret's Heywood
Our ESOL audience members were equally full of praise for our students:
"The show was very good. The characters were bustling, acted very well, and brought so much laughter." – Chien Nguyen
"I loved the costumes and how the characters fit into the story. The language wasn’t hard for me to understand, and I really enjoyed it!" – Anwar Al Faroh
"I loved the fairy – she was brilliant!" – Roohullah Maroufkhel
"It was so fun! I hope I can come and watch it again. Amazing!" – Precious Iduorobo
Amongst those in attendance was the chair of our governing body, Chris Trees, who thanked everyone involved for an excellent show. He also said that all the students displayed a huge amount of talent and were a credit to themselves and the department.
