On Friday 22nd November, JTL, the leading national training provider for electrical and plumbing and heating apprenticeships, invited The Mayor of Bury, Councillor Trevor Holt, to officially launch its new partnership with Bury College.

Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, local employers were given a guided tour of the college’s workshops. They also had the opportunity to speak to the current JTL electrical apprentices and trainers to discover how this new partnership can benefit the local community.

JTL’s Chief Executive, Jon Graham, said: “We are delighted to have formed this new relationship with Bury College. By bringing the strengths of both organisations together, I am confident that we can provide a great learning environment for our apprentices and continue to improve local skills for the building services sector.

“It was fantastic to have welcomed The Mayor of Bury and local employers to Bury College and showcase the fantastic facilities available here. We’re pleased to now be able to accommodate 43 learners, and we look forward to welcoming more new apprentices and employers in the future”.

Charlie Deane, Bury College Principal and Chief Executive, said: “We are proud to be working alongside JTL to provide a new range of apprenticeship opportunities to aspiring electricians. Through this partnership, we can now offer exceptional opportunities for apprentices, whilst also meeting the skill needs of employers locally and regionally.”
