Fast-track your career in sports coaching, health and fitness with our one-year sport programmes.
Our HNC Sport courses have been designed to give you the flexibility to achieve an industry recognised sport qualification in just one year.
Achieve a higher-level qualification which is flexible and allows you to continue working and maintain family commitments whilst studying at your own pace.
This course has been designed for those who wish to pursue or advance their career in sport, health and fitness.
During the course you will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self-study, directed study and workplace scenarios.
Successful completion of the HNC in Sport and Exercise Science guarantees a place on the second year of a BA (Hons) Sport, Coaching and Physical Education at the University of Cumbria or you may choose to progress onto the University Academy 92 (UA92).
Are you a coach looking at gaining new skills and a brand-new qualification?
The Level 4 units on our Community Coaching for England HTQ HNC will lay the foundations of learning by providing a specialised introduction to coaching in the UK landscape and different coaching functions. This develops and strengthens core skills while preparing you for Level 5 or to enter employment with the qualities necessary for job roles that require some personal responsibility.
You will gain a wide range of coaching knowledge linked to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios.
Successful completion of Community Coaching for England HNC HTQ at Bury College University Centre will guarantee you an offer of a place on the second year of a specified course at UA92. Named specified courses are BA (Hons) Physical Education and BSc (Hons) Sports and Exercise Science.
