  • The College has an annual turnover of £29.1 million.
  • The College holds Matrix quality standard for information, advice and guidance re-approved May 2020 for three years.
  • Over 2500 individuals supported with English and maths GCSE resits annually. We are consistently one of the top performing colleges for English and maths.
  • The College has eleven centres at its Market Street campus in Bury:
    Woodbury, A-level, University/ Enterprise, Millennium, Beacon, Innovation, Prospects, Construction Skills, Endeavour, Aspire, Sports.
Catering Apprenticeships
  • The College also delivers from several Community Venues.
  • The College is investing £6.75 million (£4.5 million College and £2.25 million GMCA funds) in Health, Life Sciences and STEM across 2018-2022.
  • The College holds BTEC College of the Year 2020 – Silver Certificate award.
  • Over 550 employers work with the college each year to support Apprenticeships and commercial activities.
  • Over 500 employers support the college annually with work experience placements.

  • Over 1,500 of all Full-Time students were in receipt of Financial Support in 2019-20 including 16-19 Bursary, Free Schools Meals, Care to Learn and Discretionary Learner Support Funds.
  • c450 students progressed into employment or onto an Apprenticeship in 2019.
  • Approximately 700 students progressed onto university 2019.
  • 464 learners in-learning on a Bury College Apprenticeship at 31 Jul 20 (190 @ Level 2; 245 @ L3; 11 @ L4; 18 @ L5) (1,260 at Nov 2017).

  • 7 Applied qualifications.
  • 18 Vocational areas covering multiple courses across Levels 1-3.
  • Wide range of Foundation Study Pathways covering Pre-Entry, Entry Level, L1 and L2.
  • Apprenticeships across 13 sector areas.
  • Access to: Learning FE (L2) and HE (L3).
  • 22 University subjects including Access, Foundation Diploma, HNC, HND, CertEd, PGCE, Foundation Degree and Degree levels.
  • The College has received approval to deliver T Levels from September 2021 in: Construction, Digital, Education & Childcare, Health & Science.
