ADULT LEARNERS DELIVER PRESENTATION MORNING
A group of adult learners held an exciting discussion and exploration morning which highlighted the different structures and areas of the human body.
Level 3 Access students were challenged to explain a process of the human body by delivering an engaging presentation. The presentations covered a wide range of areas including meiosis, chromosomes, ovulation and the nervous system. The students utilised a variety of resources during their presentations such as models, games, props and video presentations.
The Bury College Access programmes have been designed for individuals who are looking to return to education in order to improve their career prospects, progress to a higher level course or secure a place at university. Presentation mornings such as these help to increase the confidence of learners and further develop knowledge.
27 year old Emma Fellows said of the presentation challenge, “I really enjoyed it. The topics were very interesting and it was fun to be creative and develop interactive ideas. My course at Bury College is great, the tutors are really approachable and there’s a good range of modules.”
Lianne Dawson, Bury College Lecturer in Access and Education said, “The Access courses at Bury College provide a wealth of opportunities for learners to improve their confidence and knowledge through a range of learning methods. The students performed excellently and showcased their skills and experience.”
