Bury College opened its doors to like-minded industry professionals as City & Guilds delivered workshops detailing the new Electro Technical and Plumbing apprenticeship standards.
Over 80 people attended the Electrical, Plumbing, Gas BSE Regional Network at Bury College. City & Guilds Technical Advisors were on hand to provide colleges and providers from across the North West of important changes to policies and apprenticeships.
The seminars covered in detail the new gas standard, inspection and testing changes as well as updates on the new plumbing apprenticeship standard due to launch in 2018. This was also a networking opportunity for delegates and a chance to have any questions answered.
David Seddon, ER Manager at Bury College, was an attendee of the event and found the seminars very informative. David said, “The Electrical, Plumbing, Gas BSE Regional Network event was a great opportunity to find out in more detail about the upcoming changes to apprenticeship standards. I also found it a great networking opportunity and liked the fact that I could direct any questions to the City and Guilds Technical Advisors.”
David Pye, Technical Advisor for City & Guilds, offered his thanks to Bury College for hosting the event, “We run these events every six months but not everyone has the capacity to hold such large numbers. Bury College has been a great central location for us to invite delegates from areas such as Yorkshire, Lancashire and Merseyside. Today was a really positive event which outlined many exciting changes and we are very grateful to Bury College for hosting.”
