Bury College’s exceptional track record of advanced level achievement continues with significant numbers of students achieving 100% pass rates and Triple Distinctions.
Over 800 students are on target to take up university places and many more will be progressing into jobs, including Apprenticeship jobs.

Jake Cardwell achieved A grades in A Level Physics, Maths and Further Maths. The former The Elton High School pupil will now progress onto the University of York to study Physics.
Jake said, “I am very proud that all my hard work has paid off. I have enjoyed my time at Bury College and I am happy with where it has taken me.”
Lilian Anderson, a former Mount St Joseph pupil has achieved impressive A* grades in A Level Biology and Psychology and an A grade in Chemistry. Lilian will now progress on to The University of Manchester to study Zoology
Lilian said, “I am really happy and very excited for my future. My results are a dream come true. I have loved my time at Bury College and I have received great support from my tutors. They have gone above and beyond to help me.”
Bradley Collier is celebrating achieving Triple Distinction Stars in his Level 3 Diploma in Engineering. Bradley, a former St James Church of England High School pupil, is now looking forward to progressing onto a Nuclear Engineering Apprenticeship with MBDA Missile Systems.
Bradley said, “I am very proud to achieve such good results. Bury College has been really good and I have developed my communication and teamwork skills.”
Former Philips High School pupil Luke Mackey is now progressing onto Durham University to study Modern Foreign Languages and Cultures. Luke was delighted to achieve an A in A Level English Language and grade Bs in English Literature and French.
Luke said, “I am absolutely ecstatic with my results and very relieved that all my hard work has paid off. Durham is an excellent university and I believe that this will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase my academic abilities. My Bury College tutors have helped me to become an independent learner and I now feel well prepared for my next step.”
Katie Ferguson, a former Broad Oak Sports College pupil, has achieved an A in A Level Chemistry and Triple Distinction Stars in her BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science. Katie will now progress onto the University of Manchester to study Pharmacy.
Katie said, “I feel amazing to have achieved my grades and I am so thankful to my Bury College tutors for their support and guidance.”
Robert Philbin is celebrating achieving Triple Distinction Stars in Level 3 Health and Social Care Cadet Scheme. Having secured the best grades possible, the former Our Lady’s R.C. High School pupil will now progress onto the University of Salford to study Adult Nursing.
Robert said, “It feels absolutely amazing to achieve the results I have done! My time at Bury College has been an amazing journey and I have loved every second of my course and I’m now well on my way to become an A&E Nurse.”
Muhammad Kamran, a former pupil of Falinge Park High School, achieved Triple Distinction Stars in his Level 3 Extended Diploma in Public Services. Muhammad will now progress onto UCLan to study Policing.
Muhammad said, “I feel amazed and proud of my results. I have developed both leadership and teamwork skills during my time at Bury College.”
