Bury College Supports White Ribbon Day
Bury College was proud to host the 2019 Domestic Violence and Abuse White Ribbon Campaign event.
Services from across Bury provided information to help safeguard young people and provide information about how they can be effectively supported as victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse. Students were given the opportunity to network and ask questions and gain volunteer opportunities in various area within of Domestic Violence and Abuse.
The event, which was organised by Bury Council, is an initiative that takes place annually. Bury organisations were delighted to take part to show their commitment for the global White Ribbon campaign.
Karen Dolton, Director of Children Services Bury, said, “We’re here to raise awareness around domestic abuse and raise the issue and show that it could happen to anybody. We also wanted to show that there are services available to support victims.”
