BURY COLLEGE CELEBRATES RECORD-BREAKING ENGLISH AND MATHS RESULTS
Bury College is leading the way in the delivery of English and maths as national results have highlighted exceptional teaching practices in these areas.
The college is delighted to be recognised in the top 3% in the country for progress in English and top 6% for progress in maths, as measured by the Department for Education within their General FE/Specialist Colleges Performance Tables.
For many years, Bury College has produced consistently high-performing results in GCSE English and maths, and the latest tables recognise the significant progress students make during their time at Bury College.
Victoria Fell, Bury College Head of Curriculum for English and maths, said:
“English and maths feature widely in every area of the college curriculum. For those students who join Bury College and do not have a Grade 4 in GCSE English and/or maths, they will continue to study these subjects as part of their timetable to ensure there are no barriers to their progression. This is another important way in which Bury College supports students and helps them gain essential skills and knowledge for progression onto university or into employment.”
