HAIRDRESSING STUDENTS INSPIRED BY WELLA PROFESSIONALS VISIT
Bury College Hairdressing Level 2 students were recently visited by an expert from Wella Professionals, who gave demonstrations and shared industry knowledge. The day was spent learning about colour application, and the students were taught the theory of colour techniques, and were then able to see them applied to a model head.
This was a very valuable session for the students, who were able to learn from someone at the cutting edge of the hair industry, and see how the theory they learn in the classroom can be applied in real life.
Chloe McLaren was one of the students attending the session, and found the day-long session very informative. The former The Heys School pupil said, “I really enjoyed learning about the different techniques for colour and seeing the results.”
Eleanor Askew, a former Woodhey High School student, also enjoyed learning new skills. She said, “I want to try the brickwork technique in the future. I didn’t know you could do that before today.” Both students said that they were excited to put what they have learnt into practice, and were feeling inspired for their future careers in hairdressing.
