All students who are enrolling at Bury College to study Maths will be required to have the following list of equipment at the start of term:
All students who have not achieved a grade 4 at GCSE will be enrolling onto Maths GCSE. They qill need this equipment to maximise their chances of success.
The following items are optional but are recommended:
Packs of equipment can be purchased from the Millennium Learning Resource Centre.
It is especially important students have this equipment available on the day of exams. If students don’t have this available, the College will sell packs for students to purchase on the day of the exams. These will be available to purchase on the ground floor of the Millennium building and students can pay by card. Further details will be confirmed by Tutors closer to exam’s being taken.
Packs will consist of: Pen, pencil, ruler, protractor, compass and eraser. The cost of this is £2.
Scientific Calculators will also be available to purchase at a cost of £10 each
In certain circumstances, the college can provide financial assistance for purchasing kit and/or equipment resources through the Financial Support Schemes – details of which are included in the enrolment pack. If you have any further questions regarding the financial support available, please enquire with Student Services at enrolment.
