About the vacancy

Immediate start with a small and friendly dental practice in Heywood. We are a small friendly run practice and would like to welcome an apprentice on board to work as part of a team. An exciting opportunity for an apprentice to complete the L3 Dental. We are looking for an enthusiastic dental nurse, full training will be given.

This is an exciting role for an enthusiastic and able individual to train as a Dental Nurse. You will be completing a wide range of duties involved with assisting the Dentist in the care of customers. These will include:

  • Chairside assistance – passing instruments to the dentist
  • Updating patient records as instructed by the dentist
  • Setting up and preparing the surgery
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control.
  • Keeping patient information confidential
  • Following all workplace policies and procedures
  • You will also be required to perform a receptionist service to customers, booking appointments and welcoming patients

You will receive the following training:

  • Dental Nurse GDC 2023 L3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • L3 Dental Nursing Practitioner Diploma
  • This is a work-based qualification with weekly timetabled classes.

Outcome

  • Subject to a successful apprenticeship you may be offered employment by the dental practice on a permanent basis.

The starting salary is £15,311.40 a year for 39 hours Shifts TBC between Monday, Tues, Thurs 8.45am - 5.45pm. Wednesday 8.45am - 7.15pm. Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm..

The apprenticeship will run for 1 Year 9 Months.
