You will learn how to help registered practitioners to deliver healthcare services to adult patients in a variety of settings. Accordingly, you will become proficient at carrying out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks that are required in a healthcare setting. Training will equip you to follow standards, policies and protocols in order to provide high quality, compassionate healthcare to the best of your ability. As a Healthcare Practitioner it is essential to treat people with dignity, to respect an individual's diversity, beliefs, culture, needs, values, privacy and preferences, and to show respect for those you work with but have the courage to challenge any areas of concern.

You will develop your knowledge and understanding in all the following areas:

Working within the health and science sector
Health, safety and environmental regulations in the health and science sector
Managing information and data within the health and science sector
Good scientific and clinical practice
Core science concepts
The healthcare sector
Providing person centred care
Health and wellbeing
Further science concepts
Health and safety regulations applicable in the healthcare sector
Infection prevention and control in health specific settings
Managing personal information

You wil also study:

Carry out a range of therapeutic techniques to support Allied Health Professionals
Assist the therapy support process and provide advice to help individuals develop and improve their health and/ or develop or maintain skills for daily living
Prepare and maintain the therapeutic environment, equipment and resources for use

For T Level Health: 5 or more GCSEs at grade 9-4 (including Maths & English Language and Combined Science or two seperate Sciences)
