The 45 day work experience placement will give you the opportunity to gain the technical training needed to progress directly into industry.
T Levels are ideal if you want to:
Bury College will be delivering T Levels across the following pathways:
You will sit an externally-set exam at the end of each academic year to test your understanding of the subject. You will also undertake a skill-assessment to demonstrate your competency skills. Whilst on work placement, you will be set a project by your employer that you must successfully complete to demonstrate your overall breadth of learning.
Work Experience Placement Pilot Scheme
In preparation for the delivery of T Level qualifications, Bury College has been running a pilot scheme with support from the Department for Education and working closely with local employers to offer 45 day work experience placements to students:
“The business strongly believes in inspiring the younger generation and believed it was a great opportunity to offer a 45 day placement to an aspiring engineer. This placement benefitted the student by allowing them to develop new skills in an industry setting and increase their confidence. We look forward to working with Bury College in the future.”
Gary McClung, Managing Director of Hopefield Fabrication Ltd, gave a Bury College Mechanical Engineering student a placement opportunity to develop advanced engineering skills.
