Our Digital & Computing pathways will equip you with the computing skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to achieve high performance in the ever-evolving global computing environment.
You will develop skills in Software Development, Programming, Cyber, Computer hardware and networking systems, relational database design, computer security, Games and website design and development.

These courses are ideal for those who would like to progress from a Level 3 qualification in Computing, ICT, Games and other digital subjects, or those already working in the industry who would like to build their understanding of key concepts in one of the pathways at Bury College University Centre.
It
will also provide flexibility, knowledge, skills and motivation as a basis for
future studies and career progression in the Digital Industries. The most

Through your course, you will be assessed by a mixture of coursework (Portfolio), presentations, projects and practical activities. You will be assessed on a continuous basis.
Successful
completion of the HNC in Digital Technologies secures an interview for a place
on the second year of a BSc (Hons) Games Design and Production at the University
of Salford.
After successful completion of your HNC, you will be able to
progress onto a full BSc (Hons) top-up Degree at university where you will build
on the skills and knowledge developed in your course, and specialise in one of
the many Digital pathways available at Degree level.

Positive Futures is a set of essential qualities, embedded throughout your study programme, that we seek to develop in all students:
You will also engage in the Positive Futures Careers Programme, developing key employability skills through a diverse range of activities including work placements, volunteering, employer talks, industry study visits and employment and university fairs.
The majority of students will be able to access a Tuition Fee Loan from Student Finance England to pay their HE Course Fee.
Self-funding students may pay in 3 instalments in September (33%), January (33%) and April (33%).

Bury College hosted the GM Skills Construction Competition on Friday 13th March 2026, with students from nine colleges competing across Plastering, Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical Installation, Painting and Decorating, and Plumbing, showcasing top skills and earning multiple wins.
