How Bury College provides ESOL learners with an introduction to life in the UK
ESOL (English as a Second Language) learners from our Step Up to Prospects course recently celebrated their achievements over the last year.
Ideal for all budding entrepreneurs, our industry-led Business courses provide the opportunity to study all the different aspects of business, as well as improve your employability skills.
You will develop exceptional organisational and time management skills in order to meet regular coursework deadlines, communication skills to help you work in teams as well as complete independent research, and study skills that will be essential for higher education or the workplace.
You will have the opportunity to take part in fundraising events, entrepreneurial events, sport and fitness activities, course related study visits and careers events.

This programme includes a 45-day (315 hour) industry placement to help you develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to progress into employment within the sector.
40% of the units are externally assessed (exams). The other 60% are internally assessed coursework made up of written assignments, role play/group work, presentations and discussions.
