The GM Colleges Innovation Programme, funded by Innovate UK, is a collaboration between all nine of Greater Manchester’s further education colleges. The programme provides free, practical support to help SMEs across the region overcome challenges, build skills and capability, and explore new opportunities. To get involved, start by completing our Innovation Diagnostic. This is a quick, 5-minute assessment that helps us understand your business needs and match you with tailored support, opportunities, and expert contacts.

James most recently worked in both business operations and consultancy roles before joining the programme as a Business Innovation Advisor for the Bury College Innovation Hub. He has a broad business background, holds a postgraduate degree in entrepreneurial business, and is CIPD qualified. He now works with local Bury businesses to explore opportunities and challenges, identifying support aligned to their specific needs.
Eve began her career at Bury College as a Work Experience Placement Coordinator, supporting T Level students in accessing meaningful industry placements. Drawing on her experience in employer engagement, she now leads communications, strategic outreach, and event delivery for the Business Innovation team, developing targeted content and delivering events that connect local SMEs with practical innovation support.
