We are delighted to announce that the ‘B Charitable’ event organised by the Bury College Business Academy raised over £1,100 for Bury Hospice.
Throughout the day, there were fun activities including a basketball challenge, penalty shootout competition and escape rooms, in addition to a bake sale selling delicious treats to staff and students.
Catherine Lee, Business Team Leader at Bury College and Caitlin Bindley, Business Lecturer, gave their thoughts on the event: “We are so proud of our students for supporting their local Hospice, as well as demonstrating some amazing collaboration, resilience and confidence skills throughout the planning and the event day. They have exceeded their aims and objectives of raising awareness and can look forward to their ‘heart on the wall’ at the Hospice for raising over £1,000. We are very appreciative of the relationship with Bury Hospice and a special thanks goes to Rachel Krafft for her support with the event. We look forward to supporting Bury Hospice again in the future.”
