Bury College recently held a plaque unveiling event for the brand-new state-of-the-art Hair and Beauty Centre with Bury College staff, Governors, and wider Bury community all in attendance.
The plaque was unveiled by Chris Trees, Chair of Governors at Bury College and he was joined by staff and students as well as Eamonn O'Brien, Leader of Bury Council and Lynne Ridsdale, Chief Executive of Bury Council.
Michael Bromley, Head of Estates at Bury College, added: “The completion of this refurbishment project marks a major milestone in our accommodation strategy, and it is testament to the college projects team that the quality of the fit and finish throughout is exceptional. I am delighted that we can now accommodate current and future generations of Bury College Hair and Beauty students in state-of-the-art facilities with industry standard equipment, giving them the best start possible in their future careers.”
The centre is home to a range of exciting courses, including vocational programmes and degree level courses leading to jobs training the next generation of salon managers. We also offer a range of courses for adults looking to upskill and enhance their current career prospects.
Bury College is a growing campus, with several centres housing a range of specialist facilities preparing students for careers in many exciting industries. Funding for this new centre has been provided by the Department for Education, specifically the FE Capital Transformation Fund and T-Level Capital Fund. Click here to find out more.
